This run is full of new and optimized strats for bosses, routing, technique usages, weapons usages, fight skips, and a different playable character.

I play as Jeanne instead of Bayonetta since she is a more aggressive character who can deal more damage and has more movement options available to her.

All strats and skips are optimized and very consistent with backup strats as well. There is no "losing a run"

Dark Souls has a variety of different categories that showcase different portions of the game, all with very different routing. With a large amount of tech in the many glitches and skips, it always provides an interesting experience, especially as new things are constantly being discovered. However despite all the many glitches being exploited, there is still a large amount of normal gameplay present to not make it too far outside of the bounds of what people expect when they watch a Dark Souls speedrun. All Bosses is a really large completion percentage showcase of mostly the whole game, Any% No Wrong Warp is a more focused run not showing off all the extra optional areas but still with plenty of tech and content, while Any% is just reaching the credits quickly by skipping a large portion of the content in the game.

The Hotfix Grudge Match is a show where we bring two people together, have them blind race a game for an hour, and declare a victor! Blind racing is getting more competitive in the speedrunning world, and a large part of the appeal is that anyone can join! My goal here is to bring two members of the GDQ staff (who are planning to be in attendance) onto the stage, have them race the game, and get to know the faces behind the event. We'll both discuss strats for blind racing as well as their history in speedrunning, both behind the controller as well as behind the stage.

This is an experimental submission for the GDQ stage, and I'd prefer to bring two people from GDQ staff who are comfortable playing (and likely failing at) a game for the first time. If accepted, I'll work with the GDQ team to decide on volunteer staff players, consoles, and the game ahead of time.

If you want me to choose a game for the submission, then we'll go with Urban Yeti. Otherwise, we'll decide later.

Octopath Traveler II, the beloved sequel to the popular 2018 2D-HD JRPG, features many great enhancements in every aspect from the original Octopath. It features new and interesting mechanics such as a day/night cycle, two different sets of Path Actions, and special abilities not seen in the original game. Like Octopath, we can start with one of the eight characters, and after completing the first chapter, have a very free world to explore. It's also a very beginner friendly speedgame, as it features plenty of variety in categories, and features autosaves to ensure that you don't lose any progress.

Pseudoregalia is an Indie 3D platformer/metroidvania that released earlier this summer and is filled to the brim with incredible movement tech. We can slide dash, wall ride, bunnyhop, and even pull off gainers (backfilps that move us forward), giving us extreme flexibility in tackling the game's rooms and obstacles. The rapidly growing community behind this game has also discovered additional speedtech beyond what was programmed into the game, such as ultra sidehops, kneeslides, platform slidecancels, and ultra sidehops. All of these movement techniques mixed and mashed together are incredibly satisfying to watch in real time and make for a great showcase for a small time window.

Silent Hill 2 is the greatest horror game of all time and follows the classic Survival Horror speedrun style. The game has not been shown since AGDQ 2019 and has massively changed since its last GDQ appearance with the discovery of RNG Manipulation. We can now predict every single puzzle in the game by using a neat trick at the very start making this an incredibly safe run and a fun party trick where we can predict everything in advance. This game also hits a great time since the SH2 Remake is coming out quite soon

Super Mario Bros. 3 is a classic platforming game that is one of the most recognizable games from the NES console. The hype surrounding this game was incredible at its release due to being featured in the 1989 film The Wizard as part of its marketing. The game introduces of the concept of flight to a Mario game through the addition of the tail and also features other unique power-ups, such as the hammer suit and frog suit. Additionally, this is the first Mario game to introduce an overworld map, which allows the player to choose a unique path through the game and use inventory items they've collected. A unique feature of this game is the introduction of p-speed, which increases the player's maximum run speed when acquired. The vast majority of a playthrough this game features the player attempting to attain p-speed as quickly as possible in order to complete the levels quickly, while also collecting and maintaining the correct power-ups for faster level completion.

NES Metroid (one half of the Metroidvania genre's namesake) can be beaten with TAS tools in 100% completion in 33:25 or any% in 7:57, each with incredible out-of-bounds glitches, RNG abuse, and a multitude of TAS-only optimizations. All three of runs can be played on a real console by TASBot with controller visualization.

Tears of the Kingdom is the newest installment of the Zelda series and is an open world game that encourages creativity and exploration from the player. With the game being open world the ending is available almost immediately, but that means speedruns go in with almost no preparation leading to an intense ending.

This summer's indie darling; Viewfinder is a mind-bending puzzle platformer built around using polaroid pictures to influence and manipulate the world around you. The run moves at a brisk pace, rather paradoxically maintaining a "cozy" atmosphere while also being quite engaging. It features a healthy mix of out of bounds glitches, clever puzzle solves, and mastery of game mechanics.
